Cigarino is a cigar humidor and tasting journal app for iOS and Android, published by Menhiris Group ("we", "us"), the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Cigarino app and website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Data we collect

When you create an account and use the app, we collect:

• Account information: email address, first and last name, and your authentication identifier (depending on whether you sign in with email, Apple or Google).
• Date of birth and country: used solely to verify that you are of legal age in your country. Your date of birth is never shared with third parties.
• Your content: your humidor inventory, tasting journal entries, ratings, wishlist and the photos you choose to add.
• Purchase history: subscription or purchase status, used to unlock Premium features. Payments themselves are processed by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details.
• Diagnostics and usage: crash reports (linked to your account identifier so we can investigate issues you report) and aggregated usage events (such as screen views), which are not linked to your identity.

What we use it for

• Providing the service: your humidor and journal sync to your account across your devices.
• Verifying legal smoking age in your country.
• Unlocking and restoring Premium purchases.
• Fixing bugs and improving the app.
• Answering your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure operated by Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, crash reporting, analytics) and RevenueCat (purchase management). These providers process data on our behalf as processors within the meaning of the GDPR, and are bound by their own privacy commitments. Data is encrypted in transit.

How long we keep it

Your account data and content are kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data is deleted immediately, and any residual technical trace is erased within 30 days, as described on our account deletion page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — and in particular under the EU GDPR — you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (directly in the app: Profile → App & legal → Delete account)
• Receive a copy of your data (portability)
• Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise these rights, use the in-app options or contact us at cigarino@menhiris.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Age requirement

Cigarino is intended exclusively for adults of legal smoking age in their jurisdiction (18+, or 21+ where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn that a minor has created an account, we delete it.

Website

This website is a static showcase. It sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers.

Its traffic is measured by our host, Netlify, from its own server logs. No cookie is set and no measurement script is loaded in your browser. The resulting statistics are aggregated — pages viewed, referrer, country — and cannot identify you or follow you from one site to another. That is why this site shows no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any new version on this page and update the date above; significant changes will be announced in the app.
